I am 48 years old and have suffered from hidden pain for hmmm I guess 30 years. Have been told by drs that yes it is probably endometriosis....but....best thing is to take bc--or anti depressants. My mom had endometriosis and had hysterectomy at the age of 35 and the affects of that on her personality and health scared me from ever considering. She was given the premarin treatment at time. Her endometriosis covered her colon and pelvic area. I don't think it was ever properly addressed. I am currently on lomedia which has helped me most as far as not having two week cycles that cause me so much pain I have to stop everything, but I still have heaviness and pain in side. I have appointment with gyno in a month or so, and I need to figure out where to go from here. Since I have not been properly diagnosed with laparoscopic surgery, I think that is what they might recommend. But after watching this I am discouraged. I just don't know what to do. And I think my 24 year old daughter is also suffering with endo--such a cycle. And I am and have always taught her to be a healthy eater. No absolute answer still.
